The Student Welfare Committee runs welfare services for students with democracy and transparency as its motto. The Committee runs the welfare facilities within campus. The profit made from the billiard hall and coin karaoke is used for welfare services as a part of the welfare fund. The Committee also works for the benefit of the students. We group purchase certain items many students need, run welfare events and services to help students with their campus life. The Student Welfare Committee recognizes the importance of communication, so there are many ways such as Gmail, Facebook, KakaoTalk Plus to communicate with us. Also, you can visit us during our office hour and meet in person. The Student Welfare Committee also has a website to inform students about the welfare services as well as getting requests from students.
Major Services
The works of the Student Welfare Committee are divided into 2 categories.
Firstly, we run the regular services.
The Student Welfare Committee has office hours for students to visit. During this time, students can come and rent various items needed for events. The Committee also runs the billiard hall and coin karaoke. The profit made from these services are used for other welfare services as a part of the welfare fun.
Secondly, we organize multiple welfare services.
We organize group purchases for item that students need. There is a group purchase for calculators, letterman jackets and stadium parkas. Also, we run a book market where students conveniently buy second-hand books, help students move with the post delivery service and run a survey to get students’ opinions on welfare services. In the spring semester, we sell strawberries and Gimbap for the campus strawberry party and in the fall semester we sell bus tickets so students can return home for Thanksgiving. Moreover, we make and distribute a calendar with the school’s academic schedule for freshmen, make diaries for students and audit the school convenient stores.
